Enjoy a meal with friends.

Animals are our friends. Eat with them: don’t eat them. 

 

Practice Reiki.

Find commonalities underneath differences.

Offer selfless service.

Become a healthy vegetarian.

 Have a vegetarian Thanksgiving.

 

 Choose cruelty-free cuisine.

 Make and listen to peaceful, beautiful music.

Play an acoustic instrument. 

 

 Plant a garden, even if it's a window box.

Choose pollution-free, fossil-fuel-free recreation.

 

Join a chorale or orchestra.

Join an Arts  or Writers' Group.

 

INTERSPECIES RELATIONS

powerful and we go along with this to ease your fears

Make lifetime commitments to companion animals.

Make lifetime commitments to service animals, including farm animals.

 Stop killing. Period.

 

Support drug-free sports including horse racing.

Refuse to participate in profiteering on the suffering of animals by gambling on racing.

 

Switch to a plant-based diet, and stop enabling the slaughter and suffering for animals.

Spend more time with your pet. Walk, listen, and love. 

Give your pasture animal room to roam.

Dump the riding mower and exercise equipment. Ride a horse.

 

Remember:  each animal has a soul and a purpose beyond your needs and agendas.

Provide animals and children with safety, quality nutrition, love, and ample time for socialization, relaxation and play.

 

Become a wildlife advocate. Enjoy communing with a camera instead of a gun.  

Support those organizations that protect the environment and do not kill animals.

Protect the environment in your own neighborhood:

pick up trash, even if it is not yours.

Replace chemical pesticides and herbicides with natural methods.

 

 

Plant a food forest; plant edibles and fruit trees in your yard. Discover the nutritional and healing properties of wild plants 

in your region.

 

Sponsor a retired or rescue animal.

Enjoy your pet/equine/plant/ experience.

Weave joy and gratitude into the art and music of your life!

 

Practice compassion and kindness towards all species.

 

 

FAMILY AND COMMUNITY

Become a mentor to a youth.

Become a good listener. 

Promote literacy and respectful dialogue.

Create or share child-care opportunities with/for working and single mothers.

Sponsor a single mother. 

Pay for an under-advantaged student's college education.

Stop arguing about abortion and the right to life!

Require social and financial responsibility

from men and boys who impregnate women

and watch unsupported childbirth disappear from society!

 

Pay living wages with full-time employment and benefits. 

Pay women equally for equal work 

 

Create a community garden.  Really get to know your neighbors.

Adopt a shelter pet.

Listen! Really listen!

Generously offer  sincere compliments, encouragement and expressions of appreciation.

Disagree without being disagreeable.

Love unconditionally.

SIMPLE CHANGES IN YOUR EVERYDAY LIFE

REDUCE GLOBAL WARMING AND ENVIRONMENTAL POLLUTION 

 

Ride-share: use your vehicle less.

Take mass transit whenever possible. 

 

If you live in the country, hire a goat herd mow your lawn and eat your weeds.

Compost! Use horse/goat manure to build soil for your garden.

Grow your own vegetables;  eliminate fuel use in transport. 

 

Stop eating animals/poultry.

Factory farming of livestock is the greatest producer of greenhouse gasses.  It is environmentally and ethically untenable. 

Eat locally grown foods; buy locally produced products.

Plant trees and protect the forests that we have. 

Vote!  Elect leaders who are respectful of others,

who prioritize global well-being,

and support environmental health. 

Use natural, fragrance-free, non-toxic supplies for personal care and business. 

Go solar! Minimize fossil fuel consumption.

 

Become politically aware and active. 

Protect your community from environmentally destructive industries and  ventures.

Enact local policies that ensure the protection of the environment for years to come. 

Read the sacred texts of other religions.

Spend quiet time appreciating nature. 

Stop listening to "junk" news and watching violent entertainment.
