A lifelong horse lover and classical music enthusiast, Alicia holds Bachelor's and Master's Degrees in Education (Art and Communications) and certifications as a massage therapist, holographic health practitioner, domestic violence and red cross AIDS educator, therapeutic riding instructor, with additional professional studies in Opera performance, fine art, Tellington Touch, and AIA Adventures in Awareness equine assisted learning. ,  A native of Bronxville, New York, she is a horsewoman, classical singer, visual artist, lecturer, holistic health consultant, animal communicator, medical intuitive, author and long-time student of spirituality.

 

Alicia has merged the arts and the healing arts with equine relational experiences into a system for bridging realities and exploring the horse-human connection as a sacred trust. Equine Alliance methodology is a healing process for horses and humans who have experienced loss, grief or trauma, wounding or abuse, by immersing in the beauty, sacredness and power of our own selves, mirrored through the soul and the ways of the horse.

 

Growing up horseless just twenty miles from New York City, Alicia enjoyed the artistic and musical offerings of Manhattan as a student of fine art and aspiring operatic soprano. While exhibiting photography and fine art in the metropolitan area, teaching art in public school and at the undergraduate level, she was awarded a scholarship in vocal music at a conservatory.  She went on to study opera in New York at venues including the New York Grand Opera, the Metropolitan Studios and the City Opera of New York Studios. Merging her interest in art, music, and the healing arts, she developed modalities for using sound and color for healing,  produced and hosted talk format radio and classical format music programs on regional radio stations, and performed in concerts and recitals regionally.

 

Since the early 1990's, when  Alicia certified as a Massage Therapist at the Cayce Reilly School of Massage Therapy in Virginia Beach, VA, she has had a small private practice as a health consultant, medical intuitive and holistic specialist, lecturing and consulting in metabolic health, autoimmune health, and natural nutrition.  She is a specialist in healing with sound, a modality extending from her operatic training and spiritual development studies. 

 

Evolving from her own experience with health crises, she developed methodologies for amending complex chronic disorders and developed a restorative health manual which has provided health and recovery support for people with cardiac, diabetic, rheumatoid, arthritic and autoimmune disorders. The manual provided consistently effective recovery support in clinical application; however, lacking relevant medical research at that time, it remained unpublished. Thirty years later, with substantial medical evidence now available to support the protocols that Alicia developed, the manual is in preparation for mainstream publication.

 

Alicia has enjoyed culturally diverse areas of the United States including rural Eastern Virginia. Western South Dakota and New Mexico were highlights of her experience with horses. She is an Equine-Assisted Therapy practitioner, therapeutic riding instructor, Reiki II certified energy healer, with additional training in Tellington-Touch and Equine Assisted Learning. In 2020, she added certification as a Holographic Health Practitioner. 

 

During her 20 + years with hands-on horse keeping, Alicia published numerous articles on horses, wellness, animal rights and wild horses. Presently working full time as a writer, she has several non-fiction works in development. Rural Southwest Virginia became her home in 2016, where she enjoys the enlightened companionship of horses and a Snowshoe Cat named Mozart. In 2018, just for diversion, she entered the Ms. Virginia Senior America competition and on the day after her 66th birthday, was crowned Ms. Virginia Senior America, 2018. Her insights and experiences arising from that year are the subject of an upcoming memoir.

Her travels have been spiritual journeys to sacred sites throughout the western hemisphere, where she has brought her Sacred Tones Sound Healing technology, to assist in aligning  and awakening energetic frequencies  and assist the consciousness of humanity, in The Great Plan for the evolution of Planet Earth towards its destiny of  peace.
